The Chiefs start off the season sneaking in a Win over the Texans.
The Baker led offense without prized rookie Sanders (injured in practice) jumped out to a quick lead. Last year’s rookie standout RB Javin Hawkins stepped in and held his own with 2 TDs, one rushing and one recieving.
However the Texans found a rhythm late and leaned on thier rookie RB Spiller as he found hole after hole in the Chiefs Run defense. This helped them open the pass game which was shut down early.
In the end it came down to a 3rd down incompletion (looked complete said feet wasn’t down in bounds) in the endzone. The comeback route caught in the endzone ended the comeback attempt in the end…..
Chiefs Win 28-26
Mayfield 3tds 1int
Hawkins 91yards rushing 38 recieving with 2 TDs
Hill 139yards 1 TD
