The Falcons coming off a good season last season, looked to carry it into this season with the arrival of Rookie first round pick Malik Willis and he did not disappoint at all. Willis went 17 for 22 throwing for 302yds and 3TD with 1int in a 28-42 victory over the Giants. The defense did not miss a beat as they came away with 4int in this one and showed once again they are one of the best teams against the pass like last year. Coach Smith also wanted to continue the pound him hard running game he had with HB C. Patterson, who had 119yrds off of just 9 carries and 1td, Smith drafted rookie HB K. Walker out of Michigan State who had 12 carries for just 32yrds but Coach Smith said he will learn to see the holes more as the season goes on cause he will be seeing a lot of playing time as they use a two back system so they don’t burn out CP this season. We move on to play the Chargers next week and hope to come away with another win.
