Jags pick up week 1 win over division for Texans.
The Jags were able to ride the wave of momentum and defeat division for The Houston Texans 31-7. The jags played about as well as they can. Qb Trevor Lawrence scored a perfect qb rating of 158.3 by going 16-19 for 328 yards and 3td passes. They also got 104 yards in the ground from Travis Etienne. Shaquill Griffin was able to snag 2 interceptions on the day as well. The Texans will most certainly have the rematch circled on their schedule. The jags benefited from breaks early on and never looked back. It’s important for this team to grab wins early in the season to try and change the previous losing culture. Week 1 was the first rung of the ladder for which the jags hope leads to playoff success this season.
