With Madden NFL 22 on the horizon, the Soden Bowl Team Draft date is also approaching. August 7th at 8pm EST we will begin our annual Soden Bowl Madden Team Selection Draft LIVE on the Soden Bowl Network. Each owner listed below is invited to participate and draft their team based on their position in the league. If a owner can not make the team draft they MUST submit a message to myself on Discord with a list of teams that they would like me to draft for them based on who is available.
Over 100 people registered for the Team Draft and Soden Bowl on the Xbox Series X/S, if someone does not have a Next Gen console or is not active there will be plenty of gamers waiting for a spot in the league and maybe even the draft!
Here is my prediction of how this draft will play out based on the invited owners:
1. S S0DEN – Hall of Fame owner and a Super Bowl Record of 12-3 and most of them coming with the Patriots, I see the Patriots in the forecast with this pick. —> New England Patriots
2. SNYPZ – Broadcast legend SNYPZ TV has earned the 2nd spot in the draft and it’s no secret he is a huge Giants fan. The Giants have improved the offense adding key weapons in Madden like Ross. SNYPZ takes his Giants here. —> New York Giants
3. SwingOnDeez – Hall of Fame owner SwingOnDeez is best known for his ability to build a solid roster from the ground up. There is no bigger 49ers fan than SwingOnDeez and we see him taking this Niner team and contending for a NFC West title right away. —> San Francisco 49ers
4. A S0DEN – The prodigy as Marzmatic likes to call him will be looking for a solid offense to play with, with both the Chiefs and Buccs on the block I think A S0DEN goes with Tom Brady and the Buccs with this pick. —> Tampa Bay Buccaneers
5. Stukid58 – The most dominant owner from Pro League/Next Gen Madden NFL 21 takes his Super Bowl 109 champion stick skills into Madden NFL 22 with the 5th pick in the draft. I am going out on a limb here picking the Bears as his team. —> Chicago Bears
6. TheRev – The Rev rejoins Soden Bowl for the Madden NFL 22 cycle, Rev brings A+ stick skills into a league with solid competition top to bottom. The Titans have added Julio Jones to the mix and with Henry and Brown also on the offense I see The Rev taking his favorite team. —> Tennessee Titans
7. MrWitness36 – No league is legit with out The Witness present. This is a tough pick for me for MrWitness36. I could see him going a few different ways with this selection. MrWitness36 has grade A stick skills and a solid football mind. I think the best pick for MrWitness36 is… —> Kansas City Chiefs
8. Jrowe20 – Jrowe20 really improved his gameplay in Madden NFL 21 with the Ravens, his ability to play big in big games verse big users is something that makes him dangerous. Jalen Hurts can be dangerous and I see Jrowe20 selecting the Philadelphia Eagles here. —> Philadelphia Eagles
9. Ohio Bengal – One of the longest standing Soden Bowl owners, Ohio Bengals was around for Super Bowl I and played in Super Bowl II. Now that’s history – Ohio Bengal remains one of the most active owners in the league. I see this Bengals fan grabbing his team and having instant success with Joe Burrow and the weapons on the Bengals offense. —> Cincinnati Bengals
10. Grimey216 – Huge shout out to Grimey216, Grimey combines some of the best stick skills with a simulation style play and a genius football mind. His ability to manage cap space and improve a roster is legendary. I see Grimey216 securing his Browns with this pick and becoming the AFC favorites. —> Cleveland Browns
11. Wilabeast210 – Hall of Fame legend Wilabeast is back, this time with out the “D” in his name thanks to Xbox.. I see Wilabeast210 recovering the Big D as in the Dallas Cowboys and making some noise in the NFC East. —> Dallas Cowboys
12. E S0DEN – The youngest owner in Soden Bowl at age 11 will enter a league where he has a lot to learn. Look for E S0DEN to select a team that is built for the now. I see E S0DEN staying in the AFC East and selecting the Buffalo Bills. —> Buffalo Bills
13. JoeDubs – Host of the Talk Radio Show Dubs Radio, JoeDubs is a solid first person shooter player and a playoff contender in MLB The Show. JoeDubs will be taking his gaming skills into new territory and his love for New York will land him the J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets. —> New York Jets
14. The Mannyy – The Mannyy stormed onto the scene in Pro League Madden NFL 21, as he stated in the chat he enjoys adjusting to various leagues and his ability to adapt earn him a spot as one of the dominant teams in Madden NFL 22. I think The Mannyy will look at the NFC here and a team that comes to mind will be the Packers. —> Green Bay Packers
15. SadAtlantaFan – Atlanta fans everywhere are sad to see Julio Jones leave the Falcons, but SadAtlantaFan will take his Falcons here and he will be a playoff team. SadAtlantaFan has Atlanta fans excited for the Madden 22 cycle as he brings big game stick skills to the field. —> Atlanta Falcons
16. GameFan2500 – I can hear Aaron Donald’s name being called here, with the Chiefs off the board I see GameFan2500 dialing up the L.A. Rams again and this time enjoying Matthew Stafford throwing lasers all around the field. —> Los Angeles Rams
17. YoungBlu3 – My boy Blue, Blue will be a newcomer to Next Gen and the slower game play will cause a little issues early on. That’s where the issues end for Blue, Blue has amazing stick skills and his ability to out-play his opponent will have him challenging for a playoff spot late in the first season. —> Los Angeles Chargers
18. Kylorenxoxo – Hugs-N-Kisses, sure fire Hall of Fame head coach and a 6-2 Super Bowl record will see his Eagles selected early. That won’t matter much as this legend wins with anyone will have to search around for a team to be. I see his sights landing on the Carolina Panthers in the NFC South. —> Carolina Panthers
19. Billy Hoyle 31 – Much like YoungBlu3, Billy Hoyle 31 will be brand new to the Next Gen game play. It will take him a little longer to adjust to the different game play. Because of this I think it’s a smart move for Billy Hoyle 31 to grab a team that has both young talent and Hall of Fame talent. —> Arizona Cardinals
20. LoadedLoonatic – Playing with the Dolphins in Pro League and having limited success, I don’t see LoadedLoonatic selecting Miami again. This time I think Loaded looks a better offense, one that has fallen farther than most would think. —> Baltimore Ravens
21. EatMorChiken – Hall of Fame owner and winner of Super Bowl XCVII – The Chicken Man joins Next Gen football action again. I don’t think he can pass up his favorite team and chance to compete with the Patriots for the division year one. —> Miami Dolphins
22. Uhrah – Uhrah joins Next Gen action but his Titans were already selected, I see this very talented Madden player going to the NFC to battle for the NFC North. —> Minnesota Vikings
23. JayCork87 – Steeler country lets out a collective gasp of relief as their legendary and Hall of Fame owner is available to pick his franchise. Last cycle they witnessed a surprise as Jaycork signed with the Dallas Cowboys. I don’t see that happening again this cycle, I think the Pittsburgh love affair continues and Jaycork challenges Grimey216 for the division. —> Pittsburgh Steelers
24. PapaSmurf95 – I see two directions here for the Sniper Rifle, the Seahawks are on the board still and have a solid roster but The Washington Football Team is also a fun pick here. Having experienced Madden with the Lions and learning the struggle of a poor Madden team I think the Sniper Rifle selects… —> Seattle Seahawks
25. CAVSallDay – With his Browns already selected, I believe this gun slinger will look for a team that has a solid offense. The top pick in the NFL Draft Trevor Lawrence and the very fast receiver squad will be just what the doctor ordered for Cavs. —> Jacksonville Jaguars
26. CoachMartin1 – CoachMatin1 will improve upon his Pro League success and this time with out losing Von Miller to a pre team trade. Look for CoachMartin1 to elevate his game play in Soden Bowl and contend for a AFC West division title. —> Denver Broncos
27. Lokey550 – This is a fun selection here, I enjoy watching Lokey550 play Madden. He has some solid skills and plays a level of simulation football that most could only aspire to. I think Lokey will look a team featuring a quarterback who has something to prove. —> Indianapolis Colts
28. Masterweven – What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, that is the motto for Masterweven as he decides to stay with what works. His success in pro League with the Raiders will propel him to keep building on that success and he will have a lot of success with the Raiders. —> Las Vegas Raiders
29. DGICE – Lot’s of teams off the board at this point of the draft, but I do not see DGICE nervous at all. With this pick in the draft he knows by most standards it’s a rebuild style pick and he is okay with that. I think DGICE shocks the league with The Washington Football Team and wins the NFC East in the first year. —> Washington Football Team
30. Braap – Braap rejoins Soden Bowl and brings his talented stick skills to a team that I think fits him really well even if their Hall of Fame quarterback retired. Alvin Kamara will shine under coach Braap and this pick will make the Saints a playoff contender even with out Drew Brees. —> New Orleans Saints
31. Seahawks3726 – The winningest coach in Soden Bowl history, Hall of Fame legend and founding member Seahawks3726 rejoins Next Gen football. With a Super Bowl record of 16-12 Seahawks3726 will find himself with either a Texans squad lacking weapons but has a good quarterback or a Lions team that has weapons but has a quarterback from his hated rival Rams. I think coach Seahawks takes a serious look at the Lions here and his ability to play next level user quarterbacking will see Goff being replaced by a ytoung talent. —> Detroit Lions
32. IamRico – The only user unable to draft a team here will see the Houston Texans be selected for him. Iamrico was rock solid the Chiefs in Pro League Madden NFL 21. While he will be missing weapons on offense he does have a few pieces that he can turn into gems over the coarse of the season. Watch for IamRico to play with a chip on his shoulder and even contend with the team he did not draft. —> Houston Texans
