James attended Foster High School in California and set the school records in yards and touchdowns. James was recruited to Ohio State but had to turn the offer down to finish his Air Force 4 year enlistment where he learned how to repair aircraft.
James Slaughter has reportedly been in contact with the Cleveland Browns about a potential 4 year deal. His grandfather Webster Slaughter was the one who broke the ice with the Browns front office.

His training in the Air Force has built great muscle mass. This is a quick, strong outside threat who has the size to play over the middle. I feel he could break into the 4.3’s with more sprinting drills. I’d rate Slaughter as 3rd Round talent with the ability to be a 1st round talent with experience.
