Los Angeles and owner S S0DEN seems like a nice pairing, the Rams have a solid defense and some playmakers on offense. The Hall of Fame Coach/Owner is best known for his Super Bowl wins with the New England Patriots but is also known for his defensive team building expertise.
The Rams enter the 113th season of Soden Bowl with a nice roster, Aaron Donald is “the guy” on the defense. Teams will have to game plan around the leagues best defensive lineman. As we look a little deeper into the Rams defense we notice the addition of veteran and all world linebacker Von Miller and defensive back Jalen Ramsey. These two players give the Rams the ability apply pressure, cover the field and force turnovers.
The Rams acquired linebacker Dan Youngblood from the Patreon program, Youngblood is the great grandchild to the Rams legendary sack master Jack Youngblood. This playmaking linebacker has a lot of the tools that Von Miller had in his younger years in Soden Bowl. This pickup could spell trouble for the rest of the NFC as he is paired with Von Miller and Aaron Donald verse their quarterbacks.
The Rams made a very interesting trade, sending the recently signed Matthew Stafford to Baltimore with a draft pick and a young safety in return for Lamar Jackson. Jackson was struggling in Baltimore with his accuracy and the Ravens wanted a pure passer. In Jackson’s first game as a Ram he was very accurate completing 13 of 18 passes (72.2%) for 318 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Rams let Jackson work the first half to get him ready for the regular season.
John Wolford and Tutu Atwell continue to show a lot of flash this pre season for the Rams. Wolford has thrown for 317 yards, 3 touchdowns completing 84% of his passes in 2 games. Tutu Atwell or TD Atwell as his teammates call him has been Wolford’s favorite target. In two games TD Atwell has 4 touchdowns, 3 of them thrown by Wolford and is averaging over 40 yards per reception.
