SB Draft – #114

The 114th Soden Bowl Draft will take place Wednesday April 6th at 8pm EST on The Soden Bowl Network with the 1st round broadcast LIVE. The Madden cycle has hit it’s slow period a little earlier this year. Soden Bowl will continue to push through and replace inactive or unhappy users with fresh talent. Speaking of talent, lets take a look at what the 114th Soden Bowl Draft is shaping up to be.

1. Kayvon Thibodeauw (RE) has moved up the draft board 3 spots and is the current projected top player in the draft. At 6’5″ and 263 lbs from Oregon, Thibodeauw promises to be a premier pass rusher from the start.

2. Derek Stingley Jr. (CB) moves up 10 spots on the board to #2. Corners are always a high value in Madden, corners who speed and can play man to man coverage are elite. Stingley Jr has the ability strip the football verse receivers and running backs in the secondary and his ability to play the football may the best in this draft.

3. Andrew Booth Jr. (CB) moves up 53 spots to #9 on the draft board. This large move is because Clemson did not finish well this year but Booth Jr displayed next lever speed and coverage skills in the combine. The New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers have been rumored to be looking at this kid in the 1st round.

4. Sam Howell (QB) falls down 12 spots to #26 on the draft board. Howell’s fall is due to skipping the combine in a draft that is not really deep at the QB position. The North Carolina signal caller will enter the league that is deep in QB talent and this means who ever drafts this potential future star will sit him for the first season.

5. Chris Olave (WR) moves up 32 spots and currently sits at #2 for receivers on the draft board. Olave displayed elite acceleration and will use that acceleration to get open quickly in Soden Bowl. Think Wes Welker meets Hines Ward.

6. Leonard Coates (TE) falls 2 spots to #10 on the Tight End draft board. Coates the grandson of former Patriots Tight End Ben Coates has great size at 6′ 7″ and hailing from Colorado this Tight End will display a good balance of receiving with blocking.

7. David Elway (QB) falls 24 spots after his combine fiasco, Elway the grandson of John Elway was poised to make a 1st round impact in the draft showed up intoxicated to the combine. Elway has the ability to throw the football to any spot on the field but his accuracy and maturity may be an issue.

8. Travis Taylor (LB) is likely a late draft selection but has the upside to be an elite pass rusher just like his uncle Lawrence Taylor was. Taylor had a knee injury that ended his 2021 campaign in Texas. Prior to Taylor’s injury he had recorded 4 sacks in 2 games including a 3 sack performance verse the Heisman winner Kenny Pickett.

9. Jordan Davis (DT) moves up 46 spots to the top spot for Defensive Tackles. Davis weights 330 lbs and stands 6′ 6″ tall. His size and his strength make this fearsome lineman a force for any offensive lineman to try and move. Look for Davis to come off the board early to a team who needs to shore up the run defense.

10. Rod Woodson II (CB) moves up 43 spots to #26 on the defensive back board. There is a lot of noise out of Cincinnati that could potentially see Woodson II taken early in the draft and that would be a huge surprise. The grandson of Steelers legend Rod Woodson, Woodson II specialized in special teams for Louisville but entered the game at corner after a few injuries and led the defense in interceptions and tackles.
