The Atlanta Falcons were drafted by SadAtlantaFan with the 15th pick of the Madden NFL 22 Team Selection Draft. The loss of all-world receiver Julio Jones shocked the Falcons fan base but it did not seem to effect SadAtlantaFan.
Calvin Ridley (88 overall) is the new premier weapon in the Falcons offense, his ability to stretch the defense deep and go over the middle is a huge reason that Julio was traded. Rookie Tight End Kyle Pitts has 91 speed and 92 acceleration, those attributes are better than most receivers in the league.
Hayden Hurst is a over looked weapon at Tight End, his 87 speed is a excellent compliment to Kyle Pitts. Matt Ryan is starting to show a little age, with a 85 overall he is still a quality piece in a young offense.
The defense of the Falcons is a work in progress but they have two solid weapons in Grady Jarrett (88 overall) and Deion Jones (86 overall). Both defensive backs A.J. Terrell Jr and Fabian Moreau are low overall rated at 77 but they have the attributes to be solid players with 92/93 speed each.
The Falcons have the talent to compete in the NFC South, The Buccs and Panthers have high quality users with teams that are geared to win now. The Saints are missing a huge piece at quarterback, but have the ability to compete for a division title with the rest of the team. Atlanta under SadAtlantaFan could surprise this division with a few key victories inside the division.
Prediction: 10-7 Wild Card Birth.
