Week 11 is here and we are down to just two undefeated teams left in Soden Bowl. In one corner we have the 9-0 Los Angeles Rams (S S0DEN) and in the other corner we have the 9-0 Cleveland Browns (Stukid).
The Rams have the leagues top rated passer, Lamar Jackson who is off to another MVP caliber season (140.7 Rating). Cam Akers has rushed for 835 yards and 8 touchdowns through 9 games including a 76 yard touchdown run. The emergence of second year receiver Henry Ellard II has enabled the Rams offense to kick it up a gear. Ellard has 841 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns including a 93 yard quick slant that went the distance on SNYPZ TV. Rookie Tight End Leonard Coates rates 2nd in Tight Ends with 744 receiving yards. Cooper Kupp remains the Rams third down weapon with a 98.6% catch ratio and 479 yards on third down.
The Rams have the leagues 2nd rated offense and top rated defense. On defense the Rams are allowing just 11 points per game. Strong Safety Jordan Fuller leads the talented Rams defense with 7 interceptions and 3 touchdowns. His ability to close on the football in his first year as a starter has been eye opening.
The Cleveland Browns fresh off a huge win over the once undefeated-division rival Baltimore Ravens have put together a nice season. The Soden Bowl community was thrown into shock when the Browns landed all world Quarterback Patrick Mohomes in a huge trade with the Chiefs. Mahomes is the leagues second rated passer (135.7 rating) and has taken this offense to new heights. Second year standout Jed Newsome has 952 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns including a monster 88 yard bomb. Tarik Cohen has been the Browns X-Factor so far this season, rushing for 154 yards and a touchdown but also catching 24 passes for 331 yards and 8 touchdowns makes this elusive back a true weapon. Nick Chubb is the top back in a two back set, he has rushed for 582 yards and 8 touchdowns on just 128 attempts.
The Browns have the 6th rated offense and 12 ranked defense, allowing just 18 points per game. Denzel Ward was signed to a big contract and that contract is paying off the Browns. Ward leads the league with 10 interceptions in just 9 games with 1 touchdown. Cleveland can pressure you from anywhere on the field with Myles Garrett (3 sacks), Clay Matthews IV (3.5 sacks), Akiem Hicks (3 Sacks).
Both the Rams and Browns will have to play their best football down the stretch as both teams have some tough matchups in the last half of the season. The Browns are still in a dog fight for the AFC North title as the 8-1 Ravens trail them by just a game. The Rams are on cruise control in the NFC West with a 6 game lead over both the Seahawks and Cardinals.
